Julia is getting acquainted with film! She continues to find opportunities on set and is excited to be writing features.
In 2025 she is helping produce Last Respects, a dramatic short with Quinn Taplin, D21 Productions, and close friends.
She had her first onscreen death in local feature Horror Spell.
She can be seen as Raven in TikTok musical short series Technicolor Dreamboat, Charlie in Quirk, the Host in Pearly Baits, and as a featured extra in both Shadow Valley and More Than Meets the Eye.
So far, she has written three features and multiple shorts, unrealized. She is excited to find some ideas transfer well over different mediums! Her short Retribution was originally written for black box theater, and she looks to adapt it into a feature.
Retribution was made before any she took film classes, an act of artistic rebellion. It takes a new stance on sexual assault and autonomy. Retribution was an official selection for several film festivals. It won Best Director of a short and Best Producing of a short from Show Low Film Festival. The full short is free on YouTube.
She included some fun student projects below so you can enjoy the silliness. Flash Light! was a project focused on use of light in storytelling. Brave Face challenged her to tell a story in three minutes with no sync-sound. The P.S.A. about Girls Nights Out is so goofy, she saves it for last.
She has worked as a Production Assistant for Party Bus and More Than Meets the Eye and is always open to opportunities to be on set. Call her up!
