Julia has written a few pieces for live audiences.
She most recently wrote a comedic short play overnight for B3 Theater's Midnight Oil 24hr Competition. A fun romp that met guidelines, but inpired her to try yet again. She may be back in 2026.
Prior, she wrote Retribution, a dramatic commentary short. Filmed before staged, the dramatic short was originally written for black box theater. A departure from her typical good-time tale, she was grateful to see it live at B3's Night of Feminist Shorts. It sparked conversation and may be scaled into a feature.
In university, she wrote a comedic one act called The Application and published it on Amazon to spite her professor's guidelines.Â
In high school she wrote and directed Crazy in Love, a one-act for senior performance troupe. A rom-comedy about wedding pressure. It received plenty of laughter and glowing praise. She had also written horror shorts, song parodies, and other one-acts in that time.
